With a chaotic live show and dynamic approach to the band's hardcore sound, The American Dream from the Californian Bay area have spent several years refining their identity, arriving at the new full length release 'THERE IS NO HOME IN BETWEEN HEAVEN AND HELL', released in 2025.

Commenting on the album, front man Ricky Gonzalez offers:

"The album is a mix of emotions, feelings, moments and relationships that create the foundation of who we are and what we feel like our purpose is....this is a much more personal project for me. The idea of Heaven and Hell seems to always subconsciously be what guides my decisions. The fear of what I don't know, my indecisive feelings about God and what that means to me. The innocence we try so hard to hold on to. The feelings we manage while still trying to find joy through our journey here. The loss, the happiness, the pain, the growth, Everything and Everyone."

The challenges, emotional context and deeply personal lyrical and thematic foundations behind the album is delivered with an eclectic approach in the band's song writing. From chaotic and angular riffing and vocals that would resonate with listeners of The Dillinger Escape Plan through to Southern sounding bluesy crooning and riffs that would bring a smile to the face of fans of Every Time I Die, the bands sound and delivery is dynamic and offers appeal to listeners of a range of genres. While hardcore at its heart, The American Dream is here to deliver twists and turns at every step, which will constantly surprise the listener and offers a rich emotional resonance to the experience, with Gonzalez ranging from screaming, sections of spoken word through to deep introspection and melody. It is an album that intrigues and invites repeated listens to explore the full nuance and dynamic on offer.

Completed by guitarist Dylan Brignon,  bassist Carlos Martinez, and drummer Mario Persico, the Bay Area hardcore act cultivated their sound with the release of three EP's prior to the album. In summing up the band's identity Gonzalez states:

"We are just simple dudes who like to create moments and relationships. Every ounce of passion and love is shown when we get to do what we love. Proud to be Latino, Proud to be American, Proud to be us. We will always be us no matter the circumstance. No one oppressed, No one left out, Love and prosperity for all. We want to inspire those who see us the way we have been inspired by so many of those before. WE ARE EVERYONE!!

The aim to embrace and be something for everyone is the backbone and appeal of The American Dream, a band with a strong and thought provoking name that could never be more loved and questioned in this age. The music delivers confirmation of the challenges we all face and is the truest soundtrack for the times we live in.
