With a sound that is synonymous with razor sharp technical death metal riffing, monolithic groove and rapid fire vocal phrasing, as is signature with acts such as Psycroptic, Whitechapel, Aborted and Archspire, New Jersey death metal act Nights Of Malice are a triumphant example of the quality of acts that have emerged from the New Jersey scene. In reflecting on the band's local scene, vocalist Brendan McGrath comments “I’ve seen a lot of bands come and go over the years but one thing I know for sure is that New Jersey produces some of the heaviest bands there is. I’m proud to be part of a scene with such a strong history.” With a number of exceptional releases and extensive touring across the east coast of the United States, Nights Of Malice have made their mark in contributing to the development of the New Jersey scene and forging their place as one of the most exciting up and coming death metal bands in the US. The band's upcoming album is a consolidation of their growth and the most intense body of work from Nights Of Malice yet.
Since the band's inception Nights Of Malice have partnered with the outstanding team of Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland at Atrium Audio, who have produced albums for bands such as Black Crown Initiate, August Burns Red, Rivers Of Nihil, The Ghost Inside and many more. Nights Of Malice have once again teamed up with Atrium Audio for the band's forthcoming full length album to be released through Bleeding Art Collective in 2026. “Carson and Grant are truly some of the best in the business" states guitarist Xavier Quiles "They always know how to get the best takes out of us and we’ve done so many projects together, the work flow between all of us is like second nature.” In considering the intensity of the new album, Brendan offers “We’ve experimented with our sound in a lot of different ways over the years but one thing we all agree on is that we’re at our best when we’re riffing all over the place. We made a point to crank up the intensity with our new album and the lyrics are a lot more brutal to match the music.”
Nights Of Malice have shared the stage with icons such as Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Suffocation, Carnifex, Whitechapel, Cattle Decapitation, Thy Art Is Murder, and label mates Casket Robbery as well a key influence The Black Dahlia Murder, while also headlining and co-headlining tours across the east coast of the US. In partnership with Satellite Touring and Bleeding Art Collective, the band are now setting their sights on reaching across the US and Canada, and touring overseas following the release of the new album.
2026 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet for Nights Of Malice, and with a new team behind the band and an immense new album to be unleashed, chaos is nigh.
